FOUNDATION, IN THE word of God, just like in the natural, speaks of the beginning of a nation, a person or a
thing. It is an important requirement in everything that we do. For instance, when we want to build a house, we lay a proper foundation for the type of house we desire. If it is a bungalow, a two or four-storey building or a skyscraper, the foundation must be appropriate. In like manner, a proper foundation is necessary in our spiritual walk with God, just like in every pursuit of life. Even our birth into this world is a foundation, because that is the beginning of our life on earth. So, foundation refers to a base, a spring or a beginning.
