Cords, as we shall examine in this book, are demonic ropes that satan uses in tying people to himself and his kingdom. This he does through your natural birth, social and spiritual relationships. That is, cords come by associating with people, such as your parents, grandparents, guardians, close or distant relations, acquaintances, teachers that you have sat under at one time or the other, pastors and preachers ( those who themselves are servants of corruption, even though they claim to be servants of Christ, ( II Peter 2: 12-19). Satan does this to create various problems for us in our walk with God and in our journey towards heaven. These cords or links give him a firm grip to control and influence things that happen to us in our Christian experiences, family relationships, finances, and our day-to-day activities.
